It’s that time again! Families of current, future, and past campers are invited to immerse themselves in a weekend of relaxation and excitement amidst the scenic Texas Hill Country at the annual Vista Camps Family Weekend. Whether you’re a new family exploring our programs or a returning one looking to reconnect, this weekend promises fun, friendship, and unforgettable experiences.
Date and Venue: The event takes place in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, providing the perfect backdrop for a memorable weekend. Families are encouraged to bring relatives, friends, or come alone – everyone is welcome to join in the festivities! The first Family Weekend is April 19-21, and the second is April 26-28!
Program Highlights: Vista Camps Family Weekend is a time for families to set their own pace. Choose from a variety of activities, including archery, riflery, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, tennis, golf, basketball, ropes course, softball, volleyball, and more. The hills surrounding the camp offer excellent hiking opportunities, while evenings are filled with games, sing-a-longs, and campfires. Meal times are set, allowing families to plan their activities accordingly.
Accommodations: Families will stay in comfortable cabins, with bunkhouse-style arrangements for fathers & sons and mothers & daughters. Special arrangements are made for mother-son or father-daughter combinations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. For larger groups, family cabins accommodating up to 10 people are available.
Delicious Meals: Enjoy four delicious meals starting with a hearty Saturday breakfast and concluding with Sunday brunch. Snacks are available for those arriving on Friday evening, but it’s advisable to have dinner before arrival.
What to Bring: Pack your twin sheet set or sleeping bag, blanket, pillow, towels, shorts, t-shirts, jeans, tennis shoes, water shoes or flip flops, bathing suit, pajamas, socks, underwear, personal items, and toiletries. Consider bringing a small electric fan for warm weather, but be prepared with a light jacket or rain poncho – Texas weather can be unpredictable!
Pricing:
Bunkhouse Style: $400 per first couple, $95 for each additional person. Family Cabin: $700 for the first two people, $95 for each additional person (up to 10 people). Singles: $250 per person (Singles under 18 must attend with a parent). Children 2 years old and younger are free. The price includes lodging, meals, snacks, activities, special programs, and a commemorative t-shirt for participants over the age of 2. Be sure to include t-shirt sizes when making your reservation.
Registration Details: The registration deadline is April 1st to guarantee a t-shirt, but reservations will be accepted until the start of Family Weekend. Full payment is due upon arrival, and late registrations will be accommodated if space is available, though t-shirts are not guaranteed for late registrations.
